Good fights. Cept the 3 best fights stopped due to fouls. Ive seen better to be honest. Ray Sefo got his right eye hit by a thumb from Williams. So it got swollen really bad really fast. Then he got fouled 2 times in a row by Williams, then finally an elbow to the face which 'blinded' Sefo's right eye, so the fight was stopped and given to Sefo.
The Botha vs Aidibi fight ended about 10 seconds into the round. Botha knocked Aidibi onto his ass right away, but then hit Aidibi REALLY hard when he was on the ground. So he got DQ'ed.
Sapp vs. Bonjasky. Awesome fight. But Sapp was DQ'ed in the second round. What happened? Bonjasky was crushing Sapp and he knocked him down once. But then Bonjasky slipt and fell back and while he was down Sapp lost it and hit him on the back of the head (when he was down :P).
Which meens Musashi will be fighting Tyson on Dec. 6th
PuroresuPower:
K-1 ran their October 11th rally at the Osaka Dome. Results:
Superfight: Bjorn Bregy defeated Michael MacDonald in the 1st round in 2 minutes, 50 seconds by KO. Bregy got three knockdowns on MacDonald. MacDonald took some heavy shots to the face and ended up in bad shape.
1. Rey Sefo defeated Carter Williams by a 2-0 judges' decision. Sefo won the bout after Williams got too aggressive and lost a point due to rules violation, which led to Sefo being injured in the middle of the 2nd round and it went to the scorecards.
2. Peter Graham defeated Sam Greco in the 2nd round in 30 seconds by TKO (the towel was thrown in by Greco's second). Greco was dragging his left leg and couldn't keep fighting.
3. Alexey Ignashov defeated Mike Bernardo in the 2nd round in 2 minutes, 21 seconds by KO from a right low-kick.
4. Peter Aerts defeated Jerrel Venetian by a 3-0 judges' decision. Tightly-fought bout with Aerts having a slim margin for the win.
Shannon Briggs came out and addressed the crowd. Briggs said that he was going to fight in K-1 (he said this weeks ago on ESPN2) and that his targets were Mike Tyson, Frans Botha, and Bob Sapp.
5. Stefan Leko defeated Francisco Filho by a 3-0 judges' decision. Leko turned the heat up in the 3rd round and was punching Filho hard.
6. Cyril Abidi defeated Frans Botha by disqualification in the 1st round. Abidi slipped after his leg hit the ropes and when Abidi fell down, Botha went right after him and nailed him with a right hook. The referees and judges decided to DQ Botha and award the fight to Abidi. Botha's theme music was "Buffalo Soldier." The fans were not happy.
7. Remy Bonjasky defeated Bob Sapp by disqualification in round 2. Bonjasky was all over Sapp with low, middle, and high kicks. Sapp was getting tired by the middle of the 1st round and was having problems with his mouthpiece. In the 2nd round, Sapp went for a bull rush on Bonjasky and Bonjasky nailed him with a straight right and a high-kick. However, seconds later, Bonjasky slipped as he got nailed by Sapp in the back of the head with a punch. This led to the disqualification.
** Reaction from both the TV audience and the crowd was very negative towards the show. Hardcore K-1 fans were complaining that there was 'too much absurdity' on the show for them to endure and that they were tired of the pro-wrestling angles.
** Ray Sefo, Peter Graham, Alexey Ignashov, Peter Aerts, Stefan Leko, Cyril Abidi, Remy Bonjasky, and Musashi are tentatively the 8 set for the World GP tournament on 12/6 at the Tokyo Dome. Sapp vs. Tyson can happen as a non-tournament match, along with Shannon Briggs vs. Frans Botha if the group chooses to do so.
