    Holy Crap!

However, in the website at the bottom where P.V. has a back mount and almost a RNC locked in, at that point its really neccessary to devour someones neck?!?

I have been bitten by both Geoff Thompson and Richard Dimitri. Fact.

Mind you, in all honesty, they were being gentle with li'l old me.

I guess we'll have to agree to differ and I do, of course, acknowledge that I haven't trained with Vunak.

mike mate, do you agree with JKD187 that Vunak has like more real fight experience than Geoff Thompson and Richard Demitri added together and that those guys are just talk?

I wanted to stay out too...

You hear a lot of crap being said about Vunak, but the guy is an iconoclast and that's to be respected.
I won't go over the ill shit some people keep muttering about PV, but (on the positive side) I heard a story (second-hand) that back in the day, PV and other JKD guys would go around in a van and cruise for fights. Now, i'm not saying this is cool or legal or proper or whatever, but it (if true) shows that the man is willing to put his money where his mouth is. Just my 2 cents.

BTW, Uncle Gene LeBell said that if you bite with the front teeth you get them ripped out... any "bad kinomutai day" stories out there?

That vid could only possibly be aimed at ppl who think BJJ is god's sole answer for the streets. Painfully obvious to most ppl.

Theres three people on the table. You know one and rate him, I know the others and rate them.

But I kind of know you and rate you highly....

Lets agree that I'm right and have a cybernet beer!

I'm an instructor under Vunak and I can can attest to the fact that he's the real deal. Geoff Thompson is also the real deal with lots of battle experience. His take on adreneline and the mental aspect of fighting is unsurpassed. Richard Demitri brings a very realistic approach to fighting with an emphasis on going "apeshit"! And he's insane. Just kidding Rich. This video shows you the pitfalls of a certain approach toward the fight or lack of one. Kino Mutai is not an end-all but techniques to evoke shock and create space. One misses the point in all of this if you get hung up on these videos being the ultimate solution. All techniques are a guide toward getting the upper hand and winning the conflict. Or at least creating space to run.
The dynamics of a fight are different for each and every fight. You must train various weapons and stages of fighting to become somewhat comfortable so that you can get back to a point in the fight that you can rely on your high percentage techniques to win the fight.
We can all learn from the Thompsons, Demitirs, and Vunaks of the world. Each has their own frame of reference and experiences to draw from and instruct. As an instructor, you can learn from your students as well.
You can be the best technical guy around and get schooled by a street fighter who never formally trained. Its not who you train under but what you train and how you train it.

Can someone confirm whether this is true. It would be shocking if it was innit.
