I think the groin is a great target. And yes if you don't get your desired results you better do something else and quick wether it's cupping your hand and rupturing his ear drum, poking his eyes, striking his throat, or stomping on the inside or outside of his ankles. Because you just raised the level of that fight that the attacker might not have gone too(if you know it or not) and he'll come after you with alot more intensity than before.

Some people can take a good kick in the balls and keep coming at you, with adrenalin flowing you often don't get full effects of hit until after a fight. Despite everyone saying to the contrary , the balls are not that easy to hit especially if opponent moves at you. Even if they stand still, all men have automatic defence against strikes to the balls thats built into them, they flinch or move back without thought.

There's no such thing as a sure weapon for all instances, but a kick in the nuts is as sure a bet as there is one.

So anyways, I'm all about smashing my opponent in the nuts. But, I wouldn't just end with the nutshot.
Anyone seen the tuf finale last weekend? Scott Smith ate what looked like a liver shot, went down, and then nailed Drago with a knockout punch as he was coming in. Amazing victory, shows how a disabling hit sometimes ain't entirely disabling.
