    Would you ever carry them?

And this guy specializes in cane self defense:http://www.earthworks.com/martialart/canes/

I've personally seen the cane sword used, but it was a cane dagger, so it was shorter. The fight didnt even happen lol, the last thing they(some dudes who wanted to run our shit(rob us) expected was my boy to pull out a foot long dagger out his cane lol. Funny shit. It's gotta be illegal though right?

Personally I do not. I don't know of any folks that do. Howerever, that said, swords and canes are good weapons.

Yea they do, I guess if I was in the same situation my friend put those dudes in, I woulda been scared too. I like the dagger ones better cause it's not like you have to pull out 3 feet of blade.

Samurai is right, if you see one for 18... don't get it, but I've seen them for as much as $200, if it's quality material with a really nice blade.Check out the dagger ones though, their the most practical.

And in your decision if you would carry them or not, some places dull the point so it's not illegal, you can re-sharpen it yourself if you want... I still think it would be a formidable weapon without the sharp tip, but I have mine sharpened.

Only illegal if you re-sharpen them... they come not sharpened (at the tip).

Wrong! The wording of the law is QUITE CLEAR in the description of the ILLEGAL weapons in question.
In California there is no distinction between "sharp" canesword/ umbrella sword etc and non sharp...
I can give you a link to go read it yourself if you like but only if you live in Ca?

OK! lol... did you need the "!" haha that was funny.

Sorry, I didn't know, most of the cane pages state if the tip is blunt then it's legal... I'm not sure what state they were talking about then. Maybe most states? A couple? One? Guess not in Cali.
