apparently he called zidan a "terrorist" lol that provoked the headbutt. That said, zidan was the first one to resort to violence - and this happened in the world cup final!

The italian defender (Materazzi) who insulted Zidane is well known in Italy for his violent behaviour and insulting others during matches. That aside, he is a good player.
Zidane also stepped over a player in World Cup 98 and is known for is hot temper. He did what the italian expected him to do...that's football too. Or soccer. Zidane is the best player in the world, a true champion and should not have snapped like that. Especially in he final!

Anyway, he didn't treat him like a terrorist, news say that he insulted his sister.

I never thought about headbutting the chest, that's an uncommon target for
headbutts. Might work in some occasions...
