  • Good RBSD tactic?

Here's a link of an officer using an RBSD tactic http://www.nothingtoxic.com/media/11..._Down_Some_Guy

To me, this is just another video clip that solitifies the important difference between sport MMA and RBSD training. I don't beleive that one way is better then the other. Just that you need to know what you want to train for. Both being effective in there own right.

    What are your opinions?

That cop standing near the suspect with his hands clutching the back of his service belt is a bit risky, but then that was part of the plan, mentally disarming the suspect.

Nice takedown with barely any telegraphing. Distracting him with the wave of that arm and then lunging in with the same arm, economy of motion in action.

Nice analysis. I also liked how the officer stepped past the guy to put his bodyweight into the strike for more force that helped take the "bad guy" to the ground.

Yes indeed, definitely some smart technique at play in that clip.

Smart and simple. Also notice he was also still talking to the guy while taking him down.Helped with the distracting.
