The answer to Master Alland's question is yes, I always carry a blade.

But a weapon?? No way! Only cowards needs a weapon in a fight. Though, best is to not fight at all.
This is extermely naive. Its not about needing one to fight, its about being prepared for any scenario. The bad guys don't care about what's cowardly or what's not.

The thing is about carrying a blade is that you HAVE to understand when to use it. Or at least think about it. Is your attacker armed? Are there more than one? Is he/they intent on seriously harming you? Are you bigger or smaller than him? Etc. All of these and more come into play and there are extreme legal implications if you draw a blade on someone. Just keep all that in mind.

Dude (Girl?) It's one thing not to believe in Santa Clause or the Easter bunny but knives are everywhere.

You can deny the existence of anything you like but it should conform to REALITY.

You must have used a blade at SOME POINT in your life? A serrated steak knife perhaps? A paring knife? A fillet knife? A boning knife? A skinning knife? A folding knife? A BUTTER (case) KNIFE???

You've never made a peanut butter sandwich?

You are a victim of the worse kind. Your so called HONOR is rubbish.

I hope you never face an armed attacker...

        You have my pity.

Once you get over your PATHETIC fear of a UNIVERSAL TOOL you MIGHT realize it could be used to SAVE a life as easily as it can TAKE one.

You never know when you might be called on to perform minor surgery or cut a seat belt...

What about a gun TKDS? Think you could ever SHOOT another human being? What about game? Do you hunt or butcher your own meat (ever?)??

              Thanks,
              ~Ray

                I know that, thank you.
Well... I don't know what to answer...
Yes, I actually think it would be easier to shoot than to stab. But I don't want to hurt people if I can avoid it. Martial arts is not about fighting on the streets every day. It's to avoid the use of violence. A kick or a punch is that final solution, and I have faced that once. I hope I never have to do it again, but I probably have to someday. Can't say I am looking forward to it.

But about knives... they're not even legal to carry at public places. I could get arrested for that. And besides... dad would kill me if he found out I carry knives when outside...

jubaji @ Oh, by the way... I am not 13. I am 17 years old, thank you very much!

I see, You have been fairly led to slaughter by the laws of your land. Your ideals and values reflect the utopian BS you've been brainwashed with...If only the world were full of love and honor, eh? We could all beat our swords into plows...

Little good your punch will do against multiple or aggressive felons with serious intent (and weapons)...

Good luck with your life. I wish you the very best. Maybe your demise will be caught on CCTV? LOL (I kid) Stay safe young one! (SERIOUSLY)

You see my sig line? That guy was a Brit... a century or so ago....

Too bad no one payed attention to him...

This is the way I'm raised, I know. But I am trying to change myself. I know the world isn't full of love and honor and stuff. The only thing is that I hate to use violence, and never fight unless I have to. Sparring/tournament is one thing and fighting outside the club is another. Trust me, I know.
As for me, I want to join the police force. But I can hardly do that if I'm convicted for something, and especially for having weapons at public places.
As I said... I have used my kicks/punches for defense once, it worked perfect and the bastard deserved it. But I am aware that a gang using weapons is something else, of course! In that case I can understand the use of a gun/blade and... ok... only in a situation like that, when my or someone elses life is in danger I could use a weapon to harm (critically) or kill.

Then you have at least 5 years less sense than you should by now.

"Stupid assumtions", what does that mean?
And before you post a comment about my English: this is not my native language!

It means the assumptions you seem to be basing your foolishly categorical comments on are stupid.
