I will also ask everyone to be civil to each other. I have been very busy lately having sold one gym and started another MA school and haven't been around much in the last few weeks.

I will say there are many people here who post under more than one user name though.

Thanks for the info, EF. Its as I suspected. However, in the past I have seen you list all the various names of a forum member when he uses multiple identities. Why stop now? I think that if you were to expose all those who post under assumed identities things would be much more civil here.

For those that advocate head butts in combat. Let me ask you this, is your head conditioned or do you aim for a vulnerable spot like the enemys nose? Are you worried about hitting teeth and the possible exposure to blood borne illnesses? (ie cutting your head)

I usually aim for the bridge of the nose or the eyebrow. If I can manage it the Adam's apple or the side of the neck. Just aim for the spots that are softer than your head and avoid the teeth. As far as what part of the head to hit with Mike got that covered famously.

I hate watching idiots head butt people on the top of the skull curvature. I mean that is the equivalent of hitting fist to fist in a fight.

Extra moves can screw you in a pinch.

If you are in range to deliver a knee then you are also in range to receive an elbow or some other nasty suprise. Stepping back in kicking range takes away all of his weapons unless he knows how to kick also.

Stepping away also takes time and what if he decides to move in when you step back, then you just wasted a move and you are still in range off said elbows. You can knee someone and cover yourself at the same time if you know what you are doing.

I think Mike has a good line of thinking there.

I think applying a finger lock is a waste of time. Even if you break my finger I'm gonna drill you with my free hand, it happened a few times when I was bouncing.

Why step back and kick. Just knee homes in the balls and when he leans in because you know he will palm him under the chin while you feign asking him if he had too much to drink. Now if he even tries to get agrressive everyone saw some drunk fall on you and get pissed.

Went out last night.

Some big, drunk, over cocky motherf*cker came up to me. Pointed his finger at my chest to try the "hey look here" then come up with a quick swipe at the head.

I think at that point you'd have to assume all bets are off and either get out of there or get into with the guy (depending on what the situation best calls for).
