That alone would be enough for me to call this heaven! After all, if the thing a crook is suing over happened while breaking the law, isn't it their own fault for deciding to violate someone else's rights first?
    Absolutely.

This is the reason why many cities in East Asia are relatively safer than here. Great point, Mike.

KOTF is a member here just like anyone else and is entitled to his views on the matter, jubs. - he's got alot of relevant experience too.

Let's keep it polite and professional; there are bound to be plenty of beligerent n00bs begging for you to chew on.

Your post sort of hurt my feelings, therefore you are due for a stern talking-to by officer KOTF.

                Yes it does clarify.

Thank you for your response Mike and can see now very clearly how this forum works.

I admitted openly that I have not always been the model forum member but as everyone has seen with the postings I have made lately that I am making a huge attempt at not backsliding into that kind of non-sense again. But thank you for re-pointing out for everyone that I have shown my ass on this forum in the past.

However just yesterday in another thread where this non-sense began you posted this.......................................................................................

I got a lot out of the beginnings of this, but as KOTF pointed out, it turned into a pointless muck of insults and nonsense. I don't want to lock the thread, because it seems that anytime I do that I'm trampling on someone's free expression or censoring them because their opinions are ever-so-threatening to my delicate sensibilities.

I would request, however, that some people here grow up and let some of the more interesting and informative threads here run their course without dragging them down. There are plenty of places on these boards to insult and act like a bunch of pre-pubescent assholes, so kindly find them and take such activities elsewhere. I'm a little bummed, because this thread had a lot of potential. Even the disagreements were heading toward something constructive.

To those who stayed on track and made positive contributions, you all have my respect and thanks - even when we completely disagree. To the rest, and you know who you are, you're making this place feel like Bullshido or some other carnival of internet warriors. Cut it out, please.

I am not trying to stick up for Uke or just one person in this forum. If I was than the above thread would have had posts to that effect. I am sticking up for everyone in this forum including myself. Why should we have to tolerate this. I am not asking you to discuss it with anyone openly on the forum. You could have just as well PMed me as you have done in the past. But I'm sure there are plenty of members on this forum lurking in the background wondering the same thing, they are just afraid they don't have the immunity other forum member seem to have. But if this is how you want your forum fine I'll accept that, however when the silliness starts in a thread that is keeping to the subject and on track and this nonsense starts just as a public service announcement to the forum I will leave the thread and take my input with me.

Now I know that I am only one member and my input isn't all great and wonderful and doesn't mean a drop in the bucket to some people and that is fine, but the little I have been contributing through and by proper forum rules will just go someplace else and unfortunately, I say only for myself, these great discussions and growth tools that have been developing between myself and other forum members, especially a great amount due to the debates we have had Mr. Brewer, will not be available for the people seeking to find greater knowledge. And I think it is a crime in itself when people less experienced than ourselves or people seeking to gain a greater view of these issue have to trudge through bafoonary the likes of which has not been on this forum for sometime, just because some forum members don't agree with other people points of view.

We all have acted foolish in the past but it's an insult to people who are trying to be and make a better person out of themselves to have to put up with people who just refuse to change and grow up, as you yourself stated above.

Thank you for your time Mr. Brewer and your response to my questions.

...Mike...you know you could probably organize it...tidy it up a bit, and get it published. You could even put stuff in about training under other people...you're time with Vunak...or just going back and remaniscing over time spent with other great instructors- little words of wisdom you picked up from them and such.
Seriously...I'm not trying to inflate your ego, you have credentials...you could probably submit the stuff to paladin press or tuttle publishing...and if not, do it diy. Think about it...another source of income, plus spreading the good word.

                    I would buy a copy.
                    yup, thats a good idea.

I understand the guard has a job to do, and he doesn't want to take any chances. That is where society is at unfortunately. It was excessive, but I don't blame him. If the guard tried a lighter move, the man could have easily pulled a knife and escalated the situation. But, it doesn't mean what he did was right. Although, no one got hurt, and the situation was taken control of.
