See how powerful the knife is at close range it can even take out a bear. This is why I learn Arnis.

The law of tyranny:
1. Any power that can be abused will be abused
2. Abuse always expands to fill the limits of resistance to it.
3. If people don't resist the abuses of others, they will have no one to resist the abuses of themselves, and tyranny will prevail.

So, according to the story, the guy surprises the bear and her three cubs, in their own natural habitat. Her natural instinct is to protect her cubs and attack the threat. The guy kills the bear with a knife. Now, motherless, I'm sure the three cubs will be dead soon also.
Hurray for humans and knives, fuckin A man.

If the man had been killed that would have been tragic. The point of my post is that the death of the bear (and I believe in time her cubs), is also tragic. I believe all life is equal. If humans would stay away from the natural habitat of endangered species then perhaps we wouldn’t be left with less than 1% of the Grizzly Bear population that existed in the US and Canada before non-natives settled.
I don’t know why I am wasting my time typing this, your response contains every negative element of the human mindset I was expecting. I just didn’t expect it all at once and in one post, you have done well sir.
If someone who cares a great deal about animals is a “hippie” then yeah that’s me Garland, but I didn’t appreciate your childish, shitty response when I have never said anything negative to you, or on this forum in general.
Now if you will excuse me, I have a humpback to hump.

I saw you joined in 2006 and assumed you'd seen enough of my posts by this point to KNOW better than to take me seriously. This board, and these posts are largely for entertainment value, as well as informational and networking purposes...I was bored so I took a cheap shot at you. Sorry.
With all seriousness, where I live, bear attacks have claimed several lives over the course of the summer...what happened in this man's situation was just a matter of course...there was no malicious intent against the bear, and the only shitty thing about the situation is that people are encroaching upon bear's natural habitats. Which is, let me play the devil's advocate, in many respects unavoidable.
I don't care if a man kills a manatee in self defense.
And for the "humpback to hump"... as a fellow chubby chaser, I'm with you on that!

I have enjoyed, laughed along with, and mostly agreed with the posts I have seen from you. Thats why I guess I was dissapointed with the tone of your reply. If I had stopped and stood back I probably should have realised you were just fcking with me, but I've just come back from sparring, I'm tired and my head is pounding so bad. I'm sorry for being defensive.
There is no easy answer on the situation with man vs animal, and I often get accused of being an idealist. We've all got buttons that get pushed too easily, I guess this is mine.

I guess that works, too.
anyone want to smudge some sage around here...I'm feeling all sorts of negative energies and auras, man....
