There was a true bat-shit insane crazy guy that used to wander down in Key West, Florida when I was in that area (Hurricane Andrew timeframe...many many years ago). He had wicked bad Tourette's Syndrome, and you'd see him getting all wound up and spastic, and then he'd just explode in a burst of multi-direction punches and swearing. He always wore a nasty old bedraggled field jacket and his hair looked like that capture photo of Saddam except dirty blond. Scared the beejeezus out of people who didn't know who he was, and I saw more than one tourist nearly jump out into traffic trying to dodge an outburst.

I think he was a harmless old homeless vet, but there are times when that harmlessness doesn't matter. You still have to be prepared.

I saw that dude a couple of times on family vacations...he used to scare the shit out of my old man.

I thought he was funny as hell. Go figure.
