YouTube - Man on PCP resists pepper spray with beer
That looks like it's in New Orleans. We put hotter seasoning in our food than what's in pepper spray.

Fightings not fun mate and nor should it be.

Training/sparring/rolling/wrestling/competiting is fun. Don't get confused by the two as they are completely different things.

You say you've been in mugging attempts....you might have successfully defended yourself, and well done to you, but you can't tell me you honestly enjoyed the experience.

I've spoken to lots of people who have been victims of muggings, assaults, and aggravated robbery. These people experience a trauma they do not want to have to repeat ever again. And I too have been in a number of scraps as part of my job....was I successful? So far, yes. Did I enjoy them? No.

Maybe you could explain your point better?

All a crackhead wants is crack.

Let me try again to explain. You can easily learn how to fight and defend yourself without the constant reminder that bad things do happen. Re-living a traumatic experience (or pretending one is going to happpen) is no way to live your life, let alone train. Although I am a strong proponent of training how you fight, I don't think it should cast a shadow over an otherwise enjoyabe experience. Fighting should be fun.

In an attempt to open a dialogue with what looks to be a paranoid circle-jerk all I've got so far is insults that have nothing to do with the topic. C'mon girls, why so sensitive? Talk shit, but at least try to contribute.

Me, I've had a few mugging attempts, one succesful. Well, they took my empty wallet, if that counts. I'll be damned if I live the rest of my life worrying about the next time though.

I'll try not to repeat myself, I'm trying to open a dialogue (in my own loud obnoxious way). So far all I've got is one-liners, though TT is coming around I think.

I was right, 'Kid' is a weak ploy by the Ponytail Gang. Pathetic.

Every 9 year old has that fantasy.

You're sure to join your other screenames on ignore quite soon because that is the single most telling statement of your entire posting history.

Ask your mommy to take you to the emergency room, see if you can visit a few of the rape victims who are there being treated for their injuries and ask them how much fun they had fighting the rapist.

Now, I'm off to put you on ignore, I'm sure you'll enjoy talking with Jubs and Sag Lou though, you seem to be on the same wavelength.

    Successfully?

Never, probably had dozens of attempts over the last 40 years though, but then I'm not too scared to go for a walk on the beach at night or to take a walk in a park with a lady.

Join the military bub, then try walking the short mile into town since you wont be allowed to drive your first duty assignment.

See how often the locals try to mug you (especially on payday).

Some bases have forbidden leaving the base on foot its so bad, the Naval training center at Millington Tn is a classic example of that.

Let me guess, you haven't been in an altercation outside of the sandbox by the swing set when little Suzy pushed you down and took your milk money.

Are you crying? There's no crying in baseball

I ask, how many times have you been mugged?
It's been attempted twice in my adult life, but they didn't get anything either time. In both cases it was a group of dumb guys in their early 20's that didn't know what they were doing. Fortunately it didn't get violent either time. The details of both are on this site somewhere, I can dig them up for you if you're interested.

I've never heard of that, I have of heard of the death penalty when you tuck up under the desk and wait your turn to be shot though.
Boy, if I had a dollar for every time I got shot while hiding under a desk oh man...

Sorry skippy but NO gadgets function as SD without an investment from you other than cash.

The fact that pepper spray is pretty much a joke (and illegal) many places is another reason.

Has Mike Brewer returned or did Sag Lou get a new screename because those are the only two people this uniformed and opinionated on SD....even Jubs knows a suplex will keep his pencils in line better than pepper spray.
Yup, pepper spray is pretty much useless. I knew you could do it! You made a point! Now, I agree martial arts training does also improve yourself (although more importantly health-wise than for "real combat"). But what of the countless hours you've spent studying the human body for pressure points, arteries, and tendons? And not to mention the stress of the endless scenarios played out in your head (gotta be MURDER on the hair line!)?

I ask, how many times have you been mugged?
