Wait a second, do you find it hard to believe that Japanese living in Japan all their lives do not speak Japanese?

That seems rather silly.

Almost as silly is the idea that most Japanese do not speak any English, which may explain what you are trying to say.

Have you ever been to Japan? Do you know the situation of English competence first hand?

Trust me, if you are not in some sort of capacity where you have to deal with non Japanese on a daily basis, the amount of English spoken by Japanese is rather slim.



You seem to be thinking that the arts I listed actually advertise globally. Go ahead and check and try to find some sort of advertising outside of Japan by some of the arts I talked about.

Are you actually one of those Americans that expect to travel to another country and have people speak your language instead of you learning theirs?

Let me clue you in on some reality. Many bujutsu traditions in Japan have less than a hundred students. The majority probably have less than 20. There is a loss every year or so of a tradition due to the fact that too many students dropped out for it to be passed on to the next generation.

Considering this, your expectation that Japanese learn English seems like the typical self- centered world view many Americans I refuse to associate with take. If you are in Japan you learn the freaking language. I happen to think that people that live in America should learn English in order to function.

Find me an advertisement in English by an art I listed, other than the one I said would be easiest to confirm, and come back to me. You probably can't.

I think you are half right. Lineage does not matter, being honest does. Someone who comes up with their own stuff and is honest is a lot better IMO than someone who pretends to be something he is not.



There are a lot of bozos in the Bujinkan and a lot of people that do the whole ninja assassins of death image to attract students. I irritate them on many boards and in person. The potential of the Bujinkan is much greater than many seem willing to explore.

You expecting everyone I trained under in Japan to speak English is a bit ignorant and a bit arrogant. If you wanted to get a Japanese student studying in America to translate for you, you could have written to some of my other teachers, but now you just seem to be eager to prove to yourself and others that I should not be listened to so that you can continue on thinking what you want to believe.
