  • Bjj or a MMA would have saved this guy! (real life situation vid)

Look at this poor guy getting his ass kicked at a restaurant! What's even sadder is 7 guys sit there and do nothing! Imagine if there was a bjj practitioner in the room I think the situation would not have escalated like this!

Thanks to Graciebarra 847 of sherdog for the link...

First off, sometimes it pays just to shut your mouth. Yeah she was wrong to cut in line, but if his comment was close to anything like the utube "quotes" then well...

It didn't warrant a beating but avoidance is the best policy.

Also he was done after the first punch. Just about anybody who eats a punch bare knuckle to the side of the neck is dropping. The only way he could of kept from being beat down would have been to avoid or at worst intercept that first punch.

I don't see any ground fighting helping in a tiny restaurant where the floor is occupied by furniture or other people. Where would he have room to safely hit the floor.

Too bad he didn't have a Spyderco and just gutted that fat pig.

Theres no room for bjj. Muay Thai or even boxing would have finished the business. The attacker was sloppy.

A victim is a VICTIM... "EXTREME VIOLENCE" is relative, eh? No one was killed. The bad guy got a few years for his crime. Good for the DA. Yay for the criminal justice system.

My advise? Don't be a VICTIM!

Lets see a similar situation where there was some REAL bloodshed?

          or not...

Had the fool chosen to defend himself he might be the one behind bars? Think about it?

and this is what sucks, if the guy had defended himself and prevailed over his 300 lb attacker, he would now likely be facing criminal prosecution in todays politically correct court.

Do you really think that would have been the best choice?

I highly doubt LETHAL force could be justified. Clearly the victim here was rude and stupid.

Yep. Let's face it, avoidance is not a policy the guy on the phone employed.

                  Was the woman rude?
                  Yes.
Would waiting a few more minutes for a slice of pizza been better?
                  I think so.

Was the short span of hilarity the smart ass comment he made worth the punch to the grill.
                  Gotta go with no again.

See it this situation an RBSD guy wouldn't have gone commando and decapitated her the instance she cut in line. If he understood self defense the way I was trained to, the simplest solution would have been to mind his own business.

It would be up to the management to correct the incident, if they don't, either complain to them in a civil private manner, or go some place else.

I agree that the guy should have just ignored the lady and avoided the entire incident. But does that give the lady the right to get her boyfriend to pummel this guy?

Not at all. But on the same token you have to choose your battles. He chose wrong.
