Hi I'm a 18-year old woman and I'm taking self defence lessons.
I think it's very useful for us women and I sure don't mind kneeing a guy where it hurts . Every woman at our class has her own male "opponant" however mine is starting to bother me. The guys don't wear protection accept a helmet and when I nail "my guy" in the groin he gets mad. He says that I can't kick him there because it hurts too much. I think this a load of you know what. What's your opinion?

Let's say you switch places and this time he gets to nail you on the chest, but you forgot your protection at home or were just too lazy to wear it. Are you going to tell him that he can't hit you there because it hurts too much? Or is what you're saying just a load of "you know what"? What's YOUR opinion? The woman who's in charge of the lessons says that the guys may not wear groin protection because if you kick them in the groin when they don't wear protection you know how an offerder moves after such a hit. If they do wear protection they don't move because they don't feel anything, so when you are in a real situation you don't know how the offender will move after the kick and you need more time to figure out your next move. And time is everything in those situations. It's not a ballbusting club or anything, the lessons are just created to be as close to reality as possible.

Let's see, that female jogger in NYC was raped at night by a gang of over thirty men! Let's take it a step further, then, based on THAT reality, and let us say that your red-dope-diaper-baby-feminazi instructor decides to have thirty guys lynch you, grope you, etc because it will be as close to reality as possible. I think the original poster is fucking stupid... you say you dont mind kneeing people in the groin cause its part of your self defense... well look lady your not fighting your sparring.. you shouldnt knee the guy in the nuts... what if he wants to have kids and he cant cause yoru a stupid bitch who likes to feel tough when she knees guys in the nuts... and you say oh he should wear a pad... well getting kneed in a pad into your nuts does the same thing dumbass its not like a bone... and you think you should be abvle to do this cause your training for real self defense... well take off all your pads and have him bash your face in climb ontop of you and punch you in the head repeatedly.. thats what will happen in a real fight.. not him using whatever stance and style he has ... thats what hes sparring with not fighting with... any guy would just use his physical strength advantage to throw you on the ground and punch the shit out of your face... dont be a hypocrite and say its self defense but then expect him to spar.. hes sparring and your fighting.. your lucky hes not fighting...

question about self defense classes

Hello. I'm sorry to bother you, but there is this new "Academy" where I live that just opened up. They are suppose to teach wrestling and self defense classes. I have emailed them several times asking them for information and any certificates held in training. Alls they will tell me is that their instructors are trained in "Brazilian JuJitsu, Kickboxing, Street Defense and Marine Recon Hand to Hand Combat". Yet, the instructor was never in the military. So, when I asked for proof, alls they will tell me is to come in, they will provide no actual "proof" other than me trying it (for a small fee) and seeing if I like it. My question is: can just ANYBODY open a self defense school, or do you have to have some kind of training certificates or anything like that? I really want to take classes, but I at the same time don't want to go to someone who is going to take all my money and teach me nothing other than getting hurt. If it helps, I am located in Missouri. Thank you, and I really look forward to any posts that could help.

Your concerns are valid - But let me ask you a few questions...

The owner/instructors obviously have a background in MA - And it sounds like you are looking for training. Why not take them up on their trial offer? If you don't like it or learn anything - Leave...

The certification process is very expensive. ($18k+ including training/travel/meals/transportation/etc...) You could pick just one and attend a session. The best four (In my opinion) I chose were Tim Larkin, Jim Wagner, Paul Vunak, and Tony Blauer...

Even at the student only level - You should expect to invest $1,500 and up for the training - Plus expenses...

Where in MO are you? We are having an Indian Motorcycle Rally in Branson in May. On the 17th I am hosting two 3 1/2 hr classes for tactical self-defense and knife fighting. The cost is only $39.00 per person with 100% of the proceeds donated to the fallen Indian Riders fund. (20 person max per class)

Let me know if you are interested. The second class is almost full (13 today) and we may add a third class depending on the final event schedule...

Well, they took away the man-hating thread,

but I found another....right here.....I told you that man hating wasnt uncommon......although they took away the thread.....it wasnt that hard to find another thread in which man hating would be discussed......

I knew I found the right place when I found people discussing feminazis and how to inflict as much pain on a man as possible, with no apparent reason (at least not one that makes sense logically-a logical self d program works well & doesnt cause injury to its participants)...

I'm usually pretty well known for speaking out on respectful treatment of women, and supporting women's self defense.

However, this is utter nonsense, and from her last post, I am going to claim TNT a troll.

I am all for respectful treament of women as well, but how much respect of men is being encouraged by women in general, in popular culture, in academic circles, by law enforcement & the criminal/civil courts?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?

Classes like this eventually cause everybody to suffer:

- Women who think they actually learned something try this shit on the
wrong guy and their head gets torn off.
- Nice guy who gets kicked in the balls for trying to buy a girl a drink
- Reduced respect of males leading to less compatibility between women
who participated in this activity and their male partners.
- The morons who are being played to get kicked in the nuts.

hatred of women and men, misogyny and misandry, is bad.......it is bad for both women and men...........

hatred of women gets much of the press (attention) while men hating gets little or no attention......

What happenes to the male who dares to even mention men hating? they are labeled as angry, bitter, etc.......it is ironic since that is what they used to say about the feminists of old (former, historic, etc)....they used to say that the historiuc feminsists were just angry and should be ignored......and right now, men right's activists are being ignored, mislabeled, mistreated....

I guess he has witnessed lots of men hating in his lifetime, has never had a name for this man hating and he does not know how to respond to the apparent threats against him..........

yesterday i made my posts for the day and left with a thought left by a poster that still sticks with me (i cannot remember her name, but it gave me hope for the day, yesterday and today and hopefully tomorrow)....I was posting about man hating and she posted and said simply, "I love" to which people were wondering what is the object of her affection.........i dont know how she responded......but i know what she meant......hate can take a toll on us all.....love can rejuvenate us all......thanks for the love, whoever you are......and back at you......multiplied.......i love too.....i love people....i love animals and i love plants and flowers and trees and rocks and oceans and fresh breezes......i will fight you if i have to, but it will be my last resort, not my first......May God give you strength to choose love and not hate and let us all work together to make this a more loving world and a less hateful one

yeah, this thread is about women's self d alright.....as if.....the troll who started the thread disappeared pretty quick.......

the stated topic on this thread was bashing men's ball's repeatedly until we wizened up to the fact that to do so repeatedly would cause irreparable harm.....sure sounds like the fantasy of a person who is full of negative emotions........and possibly hate,,,,,,,,
