I as a female martial artist myself since the age of twelve am a huge supporter of women in the amrtial arts. Ther just aren't enough of us i dont think in the martial arts and i think we need to boost morale to give other women the confidence to take up a self defence style so they have courage when face with ana ggressor be that man or woman.

Please id like ideas for my new website my role model who inspired me to take up martial arts funnily enough was non other then the fictional Lara croft aka tombraider lol

So please give ideas generously they would eb greatly appreciated - message boarda also u and running.

Hello!

I looked at your website, and I had a hard time telling if it was a martial art page or a personal page. If it's a personal page, it's fine just the way it is. If you're trying to get more girls to take martial arts, it might need some adjustments. For example, a list of benefits and simple manuevers you've learned might be appealing. And posting a picture of yourself on the internet can be dangerous so...be careful. You might even want to take it off altogether, or just have a picture of you in uniform kicking a target...something like that.

In your self-defense area, you are hugging a giant fluffy grey cat. Do you throw your cat at the assailant and get it to scratch out his eyes and bite his nose? Or does the cat weigh alot and land with alot of momentum into the assailant's crotch, sending him writhing in pain?

Hiya,

My website is a personal web site i have changed the settings on my web site so people can not join the site unless i invite them too, so i only have people on my site who i know who they are - also people wanting to join the site MUST say who they are and leave contact details such as an email address, and there reasons for wanting to join the website. Any discrepencies on their part and they are immediately banned from the site making it impossible to view or re-join the website.

Have recently entered into a tombraider modelling competition online there are quite a lot of entries but the guy hosting the comp said he likes the fact i have blonde hair and its good thing i know martial arts as it almost brings tombraider to life in my case lol i was like woah wasnt expecting sucha positive response i was expecting to get turned down cause if my blonde hair. Lots of women are entering he competition and there really good shots so even if i dont get placed still fun partcipating- cause im only 5'3 im too short to model for real so amateur modelling comps are ok for me because i waned to be a model but then i took up martial arts instead.

Reason lara croft is my role model since i was 12 is because her character actually inspired me to take up martial arts in the first place. I was bullied a lot in school and seeing a strong character as lara gave me the confidence to go and start martial arts from age 12. There are other reasons as to why i wanted to join martial arts like the bullying etc but her fictional char inspired me.

Anyways thanks always for your concern but im taking proper precautions and ive actually had quite a lot of positive emails from other women who have viewed my web site saying how much they like it and they might now seeing the pics of me training go and find a self defence class or take up a martial art. Ive also had women who do martial arts view my website and think its pretty cool and they think it will do really well.

Kung fu classes are still going really well im really enjoying learning how to use defence and things and its definately more intense and fun then WT because i guess there is actual contact made when training so its controlled yet you know if you make a mistake you get a strike so you then are more determined not to make a mistake so training improvies.

I also find with my wing chun training i have a more powerful punch and kick and my stirkes are more precise and have more energy in them.

anyways thanks for your positive in put about my site at least i think kudos means its a good thing

My own fictional character based on, myself is Artemis Jenon a mate of mine about 4 yrs ago did some digitally enhanced imagery for my char i think the pics are still on my site somewhere.

Anyway's im going to be adding different pieces to my website as i go along, im splitting it into martial arts and things to do with what i like. I like Reiki, yoga, Japanese animation (Animé) i actually will be posting some of my own new art on my website soon. I enjoy horse riding , kung fu, spain is my favourite country although i really want to visit china one day - all things totally different to the fictional character that is TR.

Sure im a fan of Lara's charatcer and although i have sections of my site dedicated to her character i am an individual.

I find it interesting that English and northern Europeans are really into the Mediterranean. Is it the warm climate? the wonderfull food? the possibility of romance?

Good for you Little D.

My only advice to you as a friend is to make alot of good guy friends, so you can understand men better (and to cut out...better yet destroy any CDs you may have of the Backstreet Boys, Girlie boy bands and any Disney Love stories).

That stuff is all lies and sets up artificially high expectations and might make it difficult for you to be happy in a relationship....


...but don't take my advice
