I like hsin yi because its punches can be sneaky and explosive especially the cannon fist to the floating ribs. It also adds authority to the punch in Tai chi chuan. Yes I am one of those "nuts" who trains Internal Chinese MAs. Added to baqua's evasive footwork I find its a nice package.

Cool I was train in Mok Gar for 10 years but I dont train in it now but i do use alot of the kicking techniques and ideas of attack from it. I have nothing against traditional martial arts. i even menchend that if you like another style to state it and explain why I just use the ones up there cause its to hard to name all and they are more known.

            Sweet, Mok Gar Kuen!

kinda rare in these parts.. 10 years, you must have been on the verge of shifting from external to internal. They have a unique way of applying some of thier Tai chi chuan did you learn any of it?

                Elbows

i understand the made to train young thing, its important to enjoy the training if one is to get the most from it. I seem to recall the elbows being similiar in application to Chen's 24 elbows. The elbow can ruin your day for sure, i like the idea that the hand is camoflauge for the elbow that is prevelant in the southern styles.

yeah its good stuff but I dont train in it anymore i just use some kicks and some ideas of attacking in it I mix it with other styles of combat like Muay thai, Jeet Kune Do, boxing and Mongolian wrestling with a little BJJ and some Judo for throws.
