Hell once a store manager tried to grab me (he thought i was a shoplifter. He came to the store I was in and as he tried to grab me my dad executed a great forearm right out the door and followed with a great jump front kick to the groin. You haven't lived till you see a 300+ 60 year old flying through the air and kicking in some guys nads. later on he told me he was pissed cuz he hurt his foot. All I know is I'd have hated to be that guy.

So some guys may talk tough and others will fullfill their threats. Problem is it's hard to tell which is which.

Over here, their sparring is worse than a Coreographed Wushu Fight. They dance and never even touch one another. Or perhaps its due to my ignorance of their practices? Appreciate any comments and clearifications.

First, there are hundreds of styles of Pentjak-Silat, one is called "Pulut" or Pentjak silat pulut. It is commonly displayed in public at wedding ceremonies and such. This style has many dynamic and highly acrobatic techniques and is generally mistaken for dance because of the drums or music that is used to set the tempo. The word Pulut means "rice cake" and the practice of it is completely aesthetic , it has nothing at all to do with actual combat. On the other hand a style known as "Buah" or Pentjak-Silat Buah is a rather secretive style. The word Buah means fruit or "that part of silat which is useful"

This subject hits a little too close to home and I don't like to discuss the dirty dysfunction between my daughters boyfriends and myself. damn, just look at all the rediculous assumptions people are makin. but either way, ive been through the hostile dad thing before and it was really lame. thats why it really angers me. a father has every right to be protective of his daughter, but u shouldnt be irrational about it. when i was in highschool i dated a girl whos dad would never shake my hand, and would never talk to me. all he would do was stare me down everytime he would see me and make everything uncomfortable for everyone. id come to his home with his daughter to say hi to her family, and her dad would be there making a big lame presense about himself and sit there staring at me and being a dick. it didnt just make it uncomfortable for me, but for the rest of the family as well, like my ex gf's mom and her sisters who liked me and new i wasnt there to **** around. i can understand a father wanting to be protective of her daughter, but isnt it wrong to just assume a guy is up to no good straight from the start and never even give him a chance? sure their are alot of guys who do want to take advantage of girls, but there are also genuine guys who want to be with them and like them for who they are. if my exgf father had even once given me a chance and talked to me then mabye he would have seen i wasnt the horrible person he assumed i was. not only that, but im sure it would have put him more at ease knowing that the guy his daughter was going out with wasnt a complete loser.

did u even bother to read any of my other posts or are u just going to keep clinging on to that one comment i made? people make tons of crazy comments on message boards and say all kinds of things online that do not necessarily reflect how they actually act in real life. but hey if u want to keep clinging to that go ahead, im trying to move foreward with the discussion.
