Seeing that I'm in the dating trenches in a specific place (that could be the operative thing), most gals here tend to date guys whom are like their dad or like the guys they grew up around - and I'm alot different than those dudes.

For example, I enjoy fishing, but that's a guy activity for the most part - and I'm an active person and enjoy things like dancing; most gals around here seem to like dancing as much as greenpeace likes oil spills. Most dudes here ain't into dancing either.

I speak a few different languages, not perfectly, but enough to get by - in this neck of the woods its practically useless and unappreciated.

Lastly, I tend to treat women well.

Alot of women see this as a weakness for some reason and seem to prefer guys who avoid spending time with them or beating them...I know it sounds absurd, but I call it like I see it.

I'm different than what gals in this part of town are used to, so its tough making connections. However, if I travel up to the city talking to gals seems alot easier, even the country gals

          Boys

Honestly though, there are some great women out there. I'm just saying there are way more nutsy ones; just like there are some great guys out there, but for some reason the jerks just rise right to the surface, lol. I meant it though dude: All possible good luck to you. And if you find one, for the love of all that's decent, be nice to her. People break way too easily.

Thanks, lil apple. You seem like a good one.

PS - I'm a nice guy; perhaps too nice - but that's changing and this is a good thing...

Well, a round of applause for bettering ourselves, but don't get too jaded or anything. And thank you for the compliment, but trust me, I've got just as many screws loose as anyone.

I'm not jaded (unlike our Garland) - I'm just dating smarter...lol

LMAO! First off, Red Rum, I'm pretty sure we live on different continents, but thanks for the compliment!

And Tom Yum, I'm all in support of that. I think half the reason that people get so squished is their crappy choice in dating partners. Not that you have bad taste, but I support people being smart. (Heh, how was that for a blanket statement? "I support people being smart" )

                        'zactly!

It ain't so much bad taste, just less opportune choices.

Let me preface this, by saying I have made some excellent choices in the past, but circumstances were less than perfect.

I like the blanket statement; it covers you and I and it keeps things warm.

                              How about a group massage?

Since we're doing this as a group they could give us a discount, right? Plus after all the training I've been doing I could use something restorative.

Ha ha ha!! You people make me happy. Yay for group hugs. And actually I think a massage sounds pretty nice.
So here's the plan: we all go in to get a massage next Saturday and ask for a discount because there are so many of us. The fact that we are spread out all over the world is clearly immaterial.
