Oh man oh man I've hurt a lot of feelings here....
The offer wasn't a challenge match. I meant you guys to come down and see wing chun in its raw glory. No-one gets hurt in my training kwoon (except if they are there to start trouble), but people who are invited down are guests and are treated as such.
I expect like most people, Garland, you have seen a bad version of wing chun where there are light slappy movements behind drills
I have seen this too. But Kamon isn't like that. We train pak saos/lap saos to be hard and fast, but in reality I use them in about 5% of my fights, I prefer to keep stick and 'mould' with the person (like you see a lot of BJJ guys do)
This presents opportunities for gaps to appear on your opponent
As for tickets to the UK, I am also not a millionnaire, but I might pop over to the USA sometime. I chose medic06 because he seems alright. Hanging out down the pub with you Garland, I fear I may end up in a jail cell or something by the end of the night!!

hey, I'm not completely close minded...if Kamon is as effective as you say it is...maybe I'll check it out. I like to steal shit from different things to add to my game...
I just really didn't like the fact you were ragging on Guro Inosanto. That was f*cked up.
I have a huge respect for Inosanto especially as he was linked to Brucie, and for his obvious skill.
Kamon is good because it doesn't get stuck in the mud saying that wing chun will save you in every situation. I hate that way of thinking. I was talking to some guy on another forum and his Sifu is telling him that he will never get taken to the floor. It makes me understand why there is such a hatred for wing chunners. Believe me, there are a few of us (especially in UK) who know that wing chun is incomplete, but a lot of arts are

Fair enough. I don't know who Ajarn Chai Sirisute is though (again my ignorance proceeds me). Does he have a website?
I know what you mean about the tendency to mingle. I have known certain wing chun instructors to be very rude and stand offish
That's another reason why I like Kevin Chan. He is very humble and doesn't mind going out for a meal after class and talking about things other than martial arts etc

You would really like Francis Fong. He makes it a point to work with as many people as possible.

That would be:
The official forum of the Thai Boxing Association is the Thai Boxing forum here on defend.net.
Nice to see all that unpleasantness cleared up. Funny how the 'internet forum' format can be given to misunderstandings.
