Well met ShiivA. I haven't taken up any styles; I am self-taught and I use the Bo and Rapier. I've been doing this for a long time and haven't had any instruction or guidance. Getting your blackbelt? This may be a bit farfetched but do you know any styles that involve the Bo?

hey HDL, im not entirely sure, i also want to learn weapons like the bo. I would say just look around at the different martial arts in your area, hopefully there should be a bo/weapons expert in one of them. I know the karate over here teaches weapons after blackbelt. Any form of street fighting like gung fu would most likely teach weapons aswell.

          Ipon is right
most karate style that i know of incorporate the bo
and they will teach you before black belt.
in some schools it is a requirement to get the black belt.
