Hello sirs, hello mams!

    Hello sirs, hello mams!

    Hey everybody,
    As you'd gather from me posting in this forum and saying hello, I'm new to this board, but not to the martial arts.

    I have been takin classes, on and off lately, at an ATA school, Victory Martial Arts. I am a red belt, and am trying to go back to class regularly.

    Why green ranger? Well the first big martial artists I was exposed to were the Power Rangers. Though very showy form, they rangers were cool examples of what martial arts represent...good in mind (there were good values taught in the show) and defense,(in defense of the world from monsters). Anyway, the greatest martial artist of the show, Jason David Franks, returned recently to the latest PR series, PR Dino Thunder.

    I have been takin martial arts for almost three years. Again, its been on and off, so I can't brag about my history that much, but I can share this..
    For those of you familiar with Superfoot Wallace, I attended his Winter Camp in Tampa, Florida, for the past two years with my father. It was quite an incredible experience.

    Anyway, thank you for having me, and hope to get to know you all.

    i usually don't welcome(not to be an ass but just cuz) but since the power rangers were my first source of martial arts i can relate(that an the green and black where my favs lol) so welcome. i take it u do karate then?..since u studied with the super foot...what karate style?

      Oh, sorry. I take Taekwondo. I may switch dojos after I get my black belt, but I like Taekwondo so I'll just kinda get into a more intense form. I do enjoy learning techniques from the other forms though, like I did in Superfoot camp.

      Good to see a fellow ranger fan, especiallly in associating with the martial arts.

          At ATA upon entering the dojo we say "Hello sir, hello mam!" Acknoweldging seniority of the senior instructors. I was just kinda stretchin my roots a little bit. But whetever...hey to you too, eXcessiveForce.

            I am an ATA instructor and i'm telling you that the plural of sir is gentlemen. and maam is ladies. Not sirs and maams. Anyone who tells you different is being uneducated. And since 1984 (when I started in the ATA) I have met many uneducated instructors.

              Also as far as I know the only victory ATA school is in Troy Missouri, unless Mr. Autin has begun teaching again.

              But it is kind of a popular name.

                Oh, sorry sir. Don't worry, it wasn't my instructors, it was me. I wasn't really goin for grammatical accuracy, but I'll remeber that.

                Anyway, the school I go to is in Florida. Previously it was called Von Schmelling Marial Arts. Good to meet you sir.
