Does anybody maybe know some websites that could teach me some stuff. For free. All ive been able to find is like, BUY OUR VIDEO, or join our classes and bullshit.
There are thousands of things like this on the internet. If you have no previous training, they will be worth about forty-five cents for the bushel. Training videos are only useful for people who already know what they are doing.

If he learned his 'stuff' from the internet, then it won't work very well under pressure either.

Since you're waiting for the snow to melt, get yourself into a boxing gym in the mean time and start training.

Sounds like you learning for the wrong reasons you wont learn enough from books or videos alone.Go to your local boxing club tell them you want to join and ask them to put you through the things they will teach you as a beginner(Might help dunno).

Anyways fighting a friend for no reason other than to find out who is the better man is the wrong reason to be fighting. If you fight you find out who is the better fighter, not who is the better man. So in general i would suggest that you take a chill pill, and be happy that because you're big you dont have to fight people. Also if you like i would suggest signing up for a good martail arts class and buying the army hand to hand combat manual. You can find it online but the online version lacks the deadly stuff, but you dont want to kill somebody in a schoolyard fistfight.
            Great advice!

The only thing I disagree with is your description of kickboxing. American Kickboxing is like taekwondo with boxing. You do see the fancier kicks, only because attacks to the thigh and shin aren't aloud. American kickboxers can pick up the muay thai game pretty quickly once they get over their fears of leg kicks.

Muaythai kickboxers work their elbows and knees as much as they do their kicks. Sanshou kickboxers don't work elbows/knees as much but will go for a takedown if its open.

join a gym, and let this s**t with your friend go. Better yet, get him to join with you. Then you can 'fight' together and learn something at the same time.

thats kind of what i ment. Whoever said that we should both join. I think this is a good idea, we went to one of my other freinds classes and its a bunch of mixed arts. It looks ok i guess.
