Hello
My name is... WierdNinja
Cool, hey? I come from the Central Coast of Australia; a place called MacMasters Beach, about an hour north of Sydney.
Unlike most of you, I don't have a school, an instructor or even a name for my martial art. My classroom, a north facing deck with ocean/beach views. My aide, a crude wooden-man named Post. I source my skills from my own research of hand-to-hand combat, close quater combat and members of various other fighting systems. My sparring partners are more often than not local Kenpo students and players on the Australian NAS circut. I have no real formal educations or training.
My close friends and those who I have sparred with may well say, i fight bipolar, using two distinctly different methods of combat, that I switch between at will. The first, some say resembles Wing Chun. This maybe, in part due to the fact I have adopted several of their, or similar ideas and spend many hours up tight with Post. The second is said to resemble a real pissed off guy in a pub. Personaly... i think there is nothing wrong with bitting and ripping... saved me more than once.
Recently I have been on a knowledge binge. A quest to learn more about, specificaly; the human's mind and body, reacting to a percieved threat and of course, martial arts. Hence why am I here. Hoping to learn what I can from anyone one of you who might have something to offer. Regardless of the 'time' you've spent training, I can learn something from all of you. I keep forever in my mind, a 9mm round is a lifetime of training. And ahhh, I have velcroe, so you can keep the belt.
Wonder what their going to say, when I tell them I also smoke weed? I look forward to hearing from, well... anyone
