    Intro myself..ok.

~ Mr. Mousel is martial family and my this site is great.

Would love to network with other martial artists that are blending and bridging the gaps between martial arts industries, fitness industries and personal protection systems targeting women and youth.
That sums up my mission statement as well!

    Welcome to the forum.

What's your main style? I'd network with you, but I don't think Idaho is a big hub for martial arts....

Oh my gosh, I am trying not ~to shred your name you surely didn’t get that name in Idaho! (trying as well to pronounce it to myself correctly) Lived in Nampa.. whohooo. Beautiful country up in the pan handle loved that (not necc. Nampa).
      Thanks for the warm welcome!
Main style??? Personal self preservation! Call it what you may...

The philosophies and concepts taught by Guro Dan Inosanto, the Late Guro Terry Gibson and Guro Harley Elmore have strongly shaped my "personal self preservation" statement. These individuals have contributed and allowed me see doors open that I never otherwise would have.
Arts, pulling from Kali/Silat, various striking arts..(lee-junfan gung fu, boxing/thai boxing) and a buffet of various others that I have tasted.. I mean trained..lol if I can use an analogy. I am personally interested in all ranges, functional, health oriented ~preserving the body.
I could spend the rest of my life searching for more and more "arts" and training..... more and more, I love the arts and have great passion.. I am JKD concepts no doubt. But my loyalty for this small time I am on this planet is to Guro Dan Inosanto and Guro Harley Elmore.. I think they will keep me challenged in the arts till .. my last breath! Plenty for me.. I must say Tuhon Chris Sayoc has my attention as of this past year as well! REALLY has my attention.

My best to you. I hope that answers your question.
      And back at ya!

Yes, I agree, Nampa stinks, literally.

Did you get a chance to train with Chris Kent while you were in Idaho?

no.... lol.. i have not been in idaho since a wee child.. all my training has come from the south and from traveling.

Do you train with Chris Kent? Who and what else is in your regional area?

No, I have not had the opportunity to train with Mr. Kent. Although, I have trained with friends of his. (not in JKD). There is a mixed bag of skills arriving in the valley. Hopefully I will get to train with them all in the future.

Are you currently training on your own? Do you have some folks you work with? What do you enjoy training in?

                Welcome

                Hi Heather,

You never mentioned where you live currently.
What is your goal with bridging the gap? I mean are you trying to put together seminars, etc?

                Thanks

                  Greets Mr. Bruce Fan,
Thanks for asking... no, my interest in blending is with 3 industries: martial arts, fitness, personal protection. I believe the martial artist already wears many hats but that the "cross over" into those industries will make martial artists able to meet more needs.
Two small examples: Like I have said else where, I do not believe that because you are a martial artist you are qualified to teach a women’s personal protection program. Like wise with teaching fitness~and muay thai is also fitness. Most people in general don’t know what their training heart rate is and how to monitor it or work it, much less an instructor who bases their lesson plans around not only martial arts material but getting their folks working their hearts and bodies in a safe way.
Fitness industries and sexual assault industries/organizations are masters at what they do.. for us to be involved and networked into that makes us more marketable. It takes work and experience like what we already do.

                  My take on that.. ;-)
as for seminars.. yes I will host my first seminar to the Denver area this early fall introducing cutting edge stuff as well as the arts we already represent! I am thrilled.

                  Best to you!

                    Seminars

                    Hi Heather,

You still did not mention where you lived. LOL
If you are planning to do seminars in LA, I know someone who'd be good for this type of thing. (Teaching Women's self-defense, personal protection.)

                    Thanks

                    (Love80srock@aol.com) is my email.

Love to visit LA, will be there in October. I will shoot you an email as well.
My best to you and your kindness.
