  • A Little Help Please

Hi my names Nick and i reside in Canada. I have a question to ask if anyone in the new section knows enough varites of martial arts and can help me. My body structure does not allow the lower body flexability to use kicks to my advanatge yet my legs are extremely powerful(i can easily press 400 pounds)-im not a big guy just 5 10" and 180 roughly so my question is that i was wondering if anyone knew a martial arts that was mainly involving the upper body for attack. Any responses or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Nick

If you live in Vancouver I have a suggestion for you.

Anyway, lach of leg-flexibility is not a big problem. Low-kicks are the most important kicks anyway. You could do a lot of things ranging from anything wing-chun-related, like NCGF, JKD to main streem things like jiu-jitsu, boxing, thai-boxing and whatever.

If you can leg press only 400 pounds you should not consider yourself as having strong legs. 900 pounds is where you start getting into a respectable weight for leg press. Now, if you're talking squats, 400 pounds is respectable...but note: stretching is key. Friends don't let friends squat high.
