Rope chain vs Cuban chain

I’m stuck between a rope chain and a Cuban. The rope seems a bit more interesting, while the Cuban looks cleaner. Which one would you choose if you could only have one?

I went with a rope chain for its texture. It pairs well with a lab grown ruby pendant I got recently – the color pops against the detail. Cuban is cleaner but rope adds character.
