  • A big hi from King Cobra

    Hey my name is Marc
I am 15 years old and currently residing in Bradford, UK

I train in Brazilian JiuJitsu, Judo & Vale Tudo.
I train 4 times a week and have obtained a purple belt in Judo and a black belt 2nd degree in JiuJitsu.

I have trained for around 5 years now and currently instruct at my academy.

I have also won my regional competitions and my Nationals and am looking forward to some international competition in the new year.

I joined defend.net because i think that it would be cool to talk to other respected martial artists from around the world about martial arts and hopefully gain new insight and hear some opinions about the mysterious world of martial arts.

    Peace Out
    Marc

2nd degree black belt teacher in bjj at 15 years old??
Very weird, not to say suspicious, as far as i know you have to be 18 to get a black belt, at least thats how its done in Brazil.
And 5 years is a too short period for 2nd degree BB also.

I started my training when i was 6 years old and with training so many times a week from this age i was able to gain my junior black belt at 11 and becuase i kept training so often it enabled me to only have to wait 4 years to get to my 2nd degree black belt. Whereas guys who only train twice a week it may take much longer. I hope this aswers your question.

In answer to the judo question. At my academy we specify in 4 different arts, which are jiujitsu, judo, wing chun and muay thai, and our judo instructor tony devine is ranked 2nd in the UK so my tutoring is coming from the best which is why i also took up judo.

if you are what your are and what you do is what you do:

lol no offense but do you have a life other than martial arts. i practice martial arts and i go to dances and partys and a job and a lot more(i am a real good dancer). what i am saying you have to have something more in your life than just martial arts. and if you are doing martial arts 24/7 and school, well lol.

i hope that you are not from a mcdojo for your sake
