What level are you at after two years?

After two years in my art I was 1st level brown.

So I was six 'levels' in.

I am at purple belt right now.
Our belt ranking goes-white, orange, yellow, green, PURPLE, brown, red, Half-black, black and then the same colors(but sashes) in hwa rang do.
      Thanks for your interest Szczepankiewicz.
What art were you speaking of that you were taking?

Hmmmmm, nice. Anyone else want to add the colour of their belts? I mean, are there any different shadings? Pastel? Full on splash of colour?

              Fukkin rivetting........

Once I get the black belt I'll have to do some pink stripes and a little Union Jack for my matey.

You'll have to get two black belts. That way you can sow them end to end and actually manage to wrap them around your girth! Ya Fat Wap!

this strange art hwa rang do

Tell me about this art you are talking about. I have never heard about it but it sure does spark my interest. I was not on a belt ranking system when I trained in Muay Thai.

Muay thai is a great art. I am glad to hear your interest in Hwa rang do. What are your reasons for martial arts? Hwa rang do is a very complete art with all ranges of fighting and healing aspects as well. It combines soft circular movements and hard linear movements. We do weapons (anything from cane to staff, there are something like 125 weapons and they are broken into categories of how they are used.), knife defenses, take downs, grappling, Tai chi type exercises and techniques(tae guk in korean)and kicking and punching. Some of the healing aspects include acupressure, acupuncture and maxabustion. Of course it would depend on the teacher you found as to how beneficial it was. I was lucky enough to find an AMAZING instructor in sacramento. I also am now training in fresno. THe instructors here are very good as well. However I can tell the level of skill of my instructor in sac is another level above them.

Anyways, I hope that helped somewhat. But if you want a more coherent response you should probably go to hwarangdo.com.(I have had 3 hours of sleep in the past 2 days and am also very sick.)

                            Maxabustion?

Doesn't that make you go blind?
