Hi ! I am from Finland and I am a foreign exchange student. I am here for the 2003 -2004 school year. I stay with a physicians family here in Norwich Connecticut. My brothers are karate fighters at home but I have never done it .I think that the american karate wrestling on the TV is very neat and exciting.I do gymnastics and was in a club at home in Helsinki. I am 14 years old but will be 15 in December. I would like to learn american stuff before I go back so maybe I will learn some karate here !
I have long blonde hair and am very muscular for a girl from the gymnastics and I am used to fighting with my brothers.

Well you do not want me to tell you about sauna night then.
Every saturday we have sauna and in the winter when there is snow we run out and roll in it. Nobody is dressed of course so it is very cold but we always have Absolute so we stay warm one way or another ya.Why are americans so prudish about their bodies?In Finland the girls are virgins until age 11 or 12 and then we all carry protection.Sex is no big deal its only natural ya.

That reminds me of when I went on a snowboarding holiday in Austria about 2 years ago. After a hard-day of learning to snowboard and how to fall without hurting yourself (yes, breakfalling does help, but only to a certain extent), me and a few mates decided to hit the sauna in the hotel. We all turned up in our swimming trunks/shorts. Everyone else was completely naked!

I think everyone in the sauna (Austrians, Germans), thought we were strange for wearing clothing in the sauna, whereas we felt strange sitting in a room full of naked people!

Just comes to show how cultures differ from country to country! It was an experience though!!
