Hey guiys and gals. I am really the fact that there are some women on this forum. I have been on several MMA forum, and I think that it is mostly about bashing women and picking fights w/ others.
I am a 23 yr old Female, that started her BJJ in her living room. I did this by mocking the moves in UFC. It grew from there. A friend of ours brought his cousin over. He noticed a Grappling mag. laying around and aked if we did it. This guy is a ble belt under Rickson, so he came over everyday. hat is how we got started.
My hubby now drives over an hour to get to his class. He does this 5 days a week mad: I can't really do a lot of traing due to an injurey. Get this, I had a tree fall on me. Yes a tree. I know that it sounds like fiction, but it's not. It damaged my right inner and outer thigh, by tearing every muscle there. It damaged every nerve in that leg. it has been over a year, but the extent of the injurey was so bad that till this day I still have three blood clots in my leg. I can't even pull a gaurd on someone, let alone things such as a triangle.
Although I don't compete anymore I still travel south to atlanta and train with a couple of guys down there. I met them through another fight forum. I try to go to every fight card that I can.
My hobbies are writing, painting, sketching, and surfing the web to find out as much as possible on MA. I was also in K-9 Search and Rescue for almost five years. I have several interesting stories concerning that.
