  • Funny bjj hating troll story

There seems to be a lot of blacklash against bjj nowadays. Some make reasonable arguments and others make up cheesy stories which never happened. Such as this one www.geocities.com/kravmagagolem/bjj.html I wonder why this happens so much with all these made up stories. Especially on some forums. Many ma teachers who are otherwise normal guys now make up stories about there students beating bjj easily or seeing a bjj student get stomped all over in a fight. I even been to forums where people claimed they went to a smaller mma tournament such as Extreme fighting and easily beat up there opponent so badly with there illegal techniques that they were suspended and records of the match erased to keep mmas honor. Why? is this so common? Any opinions.

You are 100% correct that is a pile of horse crap!!

    1. I think it is amazing that a BB would get his ass handed to him from people with no experience taking tha same 2 day seminar. That's pretty sad

The sparring aganist the Blue belt is laughable. Now this TKD BB know how to shoot I guess that is from krav maga

My opinion of Bjj has changed very little in 10 years. I think that people want to their style as the King of MA....but one corny sprring (even if it were true) means nothing about either style (though I am not a fan of Krav Maga).

It seems that arts that prove themselves effective constantly seem to be insulted by others out of jealousy or fear that there is a style better than what there doing. Like these "self defense" arts people fight2survive.com/ Forums/ShowPost.aspx?ReturnUrl=&PostID=167 allow me to quote "if you put royce gracie in a dark alley with a bunch of armed, crazed thugs he probaly would die very quickly, but if you put a reality self defense instructor in that position he would have a high chance of surviving." That is ridicolous.

Unfortuneately, in his quest for making money, Royce set himself and his family up for this kind of treatment.

Whenever you claim to be the best, there will always be people that come out of the woodwork to dispute that claim.

However, as long as there has been MA, there has been this kind of silliness.

I like how the 'simulated stomps to the head' demonstrated who had won the fight.

If you'll notice the guy's guestbook is DOA, and there's no email link for discussion.

These guys are adept from books, videos and seminars...

          Riiight....

I definately agree, The "65years undefeated GJJ" did get anoying and when BJJ kept getting beat the question was always so when does the clock stop on the 65 years. But ultamitely they brought the traditional JJ challenge to modern MAs

When has bjj kept getting beat? So far the only people who have beat it are experienced in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Anyway I am guessing what really happened is that the guy was taken to the ground by the bjj student and his stomps to the head were really his legs flailing around as he was getting chocked. These claims about gjj geating defeated by someone is ridicolous. You here all these claims running around the internet but when asked for proof you get none just a cheesy made up story. About 99% of these reality self defense and military are are bull pucky. I epecially like that forum where the person said Royce Gracie could not survive a group of armed thugs but a reality self defense instructor would. Pretty much anyone would die if they tried to face that.

The Gracie team nearly lost the Battle of the PRIDE Bushido. I am not knocking the Gracies, but I am referring to losses over the years honestly I can't remember details. But BJJ has lost to other stlyes MT, wrestling whatever. It was just always intersting when Rorion was going to end this "65 year unbeaten" first it was no one could beat BJJ then it was no on could beat a Gracie then it was no one could defeat a Gracie in a challenge match

I agree what a load. I mean this guy was practising from videos and working out with someone with no experience.....and they both beat up a BJJ blue belt

If that were true it must be the first BJJ McDojo

I wouldn't go that far, no style is perfect and even if there were a perfect style there are no perfect people. Don't assume becuase someone knows BJJ that a boxer can't get a KO (street fight) just becuase they train BJJ.

That was almost as bad as the guy that challeged the blue belt. People are people when they start these superhuman scenerios it is rediuculus. The interesting thing is the the rationale was for RBSD was not technique they said something about Royce's thin frame.......SO arn't there thin RBSD practioners. I gues RBSD only works for big guys.

All the people the Gracies have lost too such as Sakuraba and Team Japan also knew a ton of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Pretty much every mma fighter has Gracie Jiu-Jitsu as a major part of there training, even wrestlers like Coleman, kerr or strikers like Cro Cro crop and Vochancyn. Of course bjj practicioners are not invisible a person could always get in a lucky k.o punch like Dan Henderson only that one was a bit more than luck. I believe the Gracies are still probaly among the best fighters in mma. I would like to see a rematch of the Gracies vs. Sakuraba and especially a match with Charles Gracie and Sakuraba. Other bjj dream matches would be Saku vs. Rickson and then Rickson vs. Silva.

I was talking about these cheesy made up stories on the internet on how they beat a bjj fighter and that proves there style is better. Not the real matches.

Yes but there are alot of BJJer that study Judo wrestling and boxing. We can go back and forth (which I certainly don'ty want to) but I agree what you say about the Gracies. I was refering to the challenge which I though interesting consider Helio lost to kimura in teh 50's. That was my only point not a big deal

Oh yeah the kimura match Anyone have the Gracies in Action tape with that on it? Heard it was pretty good. But Helio was lucky enouph to have never fought a master of the butterfly kick or grasshopper plays that funky music. If he did he would lose for sure. Convinced!?!?
