  • SEALS officers

Here's a question for all those military experts and wannabe experts out there. Where do the SEAL officers come from (the first person who says from their mothers I'll string up upside down from their earlobes)?

I've seen the shows on Discovery that follow the noncom's through their basic training and hell-week. How do the officers get their training? I find it hard to believe that they are subjected to the same torture as the noncoms, but they have to be just as tough if not tougher. Are they promoted from NCO's?

The officers train along side the enlisted men.

    From NavySeals.com
NSW (Naval Special Warfare) Officers go through the identical Basic Underwater Demolition Training that enlisted personnel attend at the Naval Special Warfare Center.

That's right, officers who want to become SEALs have to go through the exact same thing, as many schools are like that. Take jump school for example, we were all addressed by numbers (I still remember mine, 341) but for officers they were called Alpha whatever. They still did the same stuff as us, still did pushups for being stupid, and still could be fucked with as much as the Sgt Airbornes wanted to. Or SERE school. They had to do the same stuff we did and had the same things done to us (though I think I spent the most time in the sweatbox than anybody there :P). It's the same for everybody.
