Good question, Blue. I'm not sure why some people date people outside their race exclusively.

1. Behavioral reasons: Maybe they feel people outside their race treat them in a way they prefer to be treated. People draw away from pain and move toward comfort, right?

2. Biological reasons: Maybe they are instinctively attracted to certain features or qualities about partners of a different race. Its all about preferences, right - the same thing that drives trade between our countries ...we develop tastes outside our own backyard.

3. Repetition of experience: This is more psychological but I suppose if they have dated other races before, they are likely to do so again - out of habit.

4. Lack of diversity: If the partners available to the person seem to be the same again and again, they may look toward other races for something more interesting?

Not just play, but qualities as well.

If you found, for instance that women from country X where as every bit attractive as women here, but were warmer in their personalities or more loyal, you'd start to develop preferences.

WHY do pepole of one race sometimes try to act like another race why aren't they just proud of their own race, especially in todays day and age?

i dont think the people you describe are that way because they are trying to impress their partner or whatever. those people probably just had similar interests and styles and got together because of that. they were probably behaving like that before they met that person, not because they felt the needed to become someone else.

as for students trying to act asian to impress their instructors, ive never personally witnessed anything like that. i am middle eastern myself, and i train under an asian guy who i have tons of respect for, but i wouldnt say i felt that i needed to act a certain way to impress him or anything.
