The SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism(www.sca.org)) is a Non-Profit organization dedicated to the reconstruction of the period of time between 3,000 Bc to 1600 AD. No cannons in combat (not very safe) but lots of people make their own, either to show off at events, or just to play around with. that is one such story.

The gun question is simple -

No handguns/revolvers except for military/police.

Automatic 20yr sentence if you are caught carrying one.

Hunters can still have rifles -

We homeowners can still have our shotguns.

I have handguns but ALWAYS reach for the shotgun first.

When I was living in Chicago -

I heard glass break downstairs.

So I grabbed the 10 gauge and went to investigate -

On the way down the stairs -

I yelled "This will not end good for you" and pumped in a shell...

Sure enough the front door was open with glass on the floor.

Called the police and made a report.

Six months later I got a call from a detective -

Seems they had caught a team of punks who worked for an alarm company -

And they were targeting homes who had cancelled service.

In their log book next to my address was scribbled "CMF" -

They admitted it meant "Crazy M* F*" -

And one of them admitted messing his pants when he heard that shell go in.

The detective was laughing his a* off -

And said: "That's gotta be one of the scariest sounds known to man"
