well an interesting tidbit is that, russia just so happens to have the very same ground based microwave pulse weapon that we do, its just as powerful. why would russia have an american designed SDI weapon in their hands??? because the strategic defense initiative was never about protecting us from the russians. the strategic defense initiative was actually a joint american-russian program designed to create a weapon capable of repulsing an alien invasion. even though there is no indication that the ufos are hostile, america and russia did not want to take any chances, thus star wars was created under the guise of protecting america from communists.

Dick, I am going to have to disagree with you about star wars.

Any scientist will tell you we don't even have a rational plan to deflect an asteroid, let alone an alien invasion. Scientists are very worried about that. They have mapped a small percentage of earth killers, and have stated that any time, any place we could get nailed. And yet, very little has been done about that. I don't know much about microwave technology, but I cooked a frozen dinner the other day after leaving it on the counter to defrost. I did not see the ants. Needless to say, they all survived 4-5 minutes on high power.

our navy just hit an orbiting satellite with a navy missile. we have the technology to hit incoming crafts/missiles. the same technology could be used to alter the path of an asteroid, depending on its size.

Vegas bookmakers were making odds on the success of that exercise. It ended up costing a lot of money. Besides, that was done with existing technology, against 1 rusty old satelite. Imagine your fleet of thousands of spacecraft!(like you insist the videos you have posted show). You had better hope the government has something bigger and better! I am 100% sure they don't!

thats were HAARP comes in. it heats up the ionospehre with intense microwave pulses, which create an impenetrable shield around the earth. if invasion was eminent, the USA and Russia could use both their microwave pulse weapons to generate a type of "force field" around the earth which would fry and disable any incoming ships, or weapons. no spacecraft would be able to enter our atmosphere.

and keep in mind, this is only 1 type of SDI weapon system. they have many others, ones that utilize laser beams, xrays, missiles, rail and guass weapons etc......there are a multitude of weapon systems in place already, and more being designed and worked on everyday.

here is one of the actual patents of the system. the patent reads,

"A method and apparatus for altering at least one selected region which normally exists above the earth's surface. The region is excited by electron cyclotron resonance heating to thereby increase its charged particle density. In one embodiment, circularly polarized electromagnetic radiation is transmitted upward in a direction substantially parallel to and along a field line which extends through the region of plasma to be altered. The radiation is transmitted at a frequency which excites electron cyclotron resonance to heat and accelerate the charged particles. This increase in energy can cause ionization of neutral particles which are then absorbed as part of the region thereby increasing the charged particle density of the region."

Abstract

"A method for establishing a region of a high density, high energy plasma at an altitude of at least about 1500 kilometers above the earth's surface. Circularly polarized electromagnetic radiation is transmitted at a first frequency substantially parallel to an earth's magnetic field line to excite electron cyclotron resonance heating in normally occurring plasma at an altitude of at least about 250 kilometers to generate a mirror force which lifts said plasma to said altitude of at least about 1500 kilometers. Heating is continued at a second frequency to expand the plasma to the apex of said field line whereupon at least some of the plasma is trapped and oscillates between mirror points on said lines. The plasma will be contained within adjacent field lines and will drift to form a shell of relativistic particles around a portion of the earth."

yeah you are right, the USA government maintains a system that is capable of radical military applications, in order to create rain. again, that makes perfect sense, much like putting weapons in space in order to protect us from communists.
