I don't watch TV (rarley anyway). But the truth is the truth just becuase you don't like it it doesn't make it any less true.

And sounds to me you are buying into the Obama celebrity and rhetoric where he can do no wrong.

treelizard- This is like watching someone fail a thesis defense; it was so funny.
It is evident to me Gibson was hostile towards Palin from the very beginning especially how he put her down here:

GIBSON: And you didn't say to yourself, "Am I experienced enough? Am I ready? Do I know enough about international affairs? Do I -- will I feel comfortable enough on the national stage to do this?"

    PALIN: I didn't hesitate, no.

GIBSON: Didn't that take some hubris?

I think it shows a lack of good judgement (one of many).
Does McCain have bad judgement for using the same comment to refer to Hilary Clinton's healthcare plan? Or is "lipstick" only considered sexist when used to refer to female Republicans?

Personally, I think picking a VP candidate who even after days of intense briefing doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is shows a lack of good judgement, but let's talk about lipstick instead.

Treelizard- Republican party is trying to attribute anything he does to sexism because they do not have the issues to stand on. They are running a dishonorable campaign. Did you see the latest bullshit ad about how Obama supported "sex education for kindergarteners" because he was supporting a program that protected children from predators...the same program used by the Cub Scouts? It is just dirty politics as usual. At least Obama has the integrity to rise above it. McCain/Palin obviously don't--their true colors are showing.

OMG. Are you so blind to the fact that it was a Obama surrogate who said something to the effect that how can she (Pailn) raise her kids and be a good VP? That isn’t sexist? No one asks that question of a man.

At least Obama has the integrity to rise above it.
That's BS! Barrack has sent 30 lawyers and investigators to Alaska to dig up dirt on Palin. That's staying above it?

I really, really want McCain to win just because it will be fun to watch the campus liberals (and those who imagine themselves the same way) grind their teeth to dust and tear their hair out! I bet some over-inflated heads will literally burst like balloons, releasing a lot of hot air!

By the way have you ever read atlas shrugged, it might be worth looking at.

    I've read Atlas shrugged.

    She makes some great points:

Anyone who is rich got there by their own effort, nobody who inherits wealth remains rich any amount of time. (At the 'party')

Everyone who lives outside a city is a lazy, shiftless bum who spends all day on the porch, watching weeds grow (After she is fired for success, she moves to the country and tends her lawn. See, rich people take care of things, whereas poor people... well, don't)

Nothing should be given to anyone. Everything should be sold/rented/loaned at interest. This includes advice. (at her first arrival in the Mountain utopia)

Artists and thinkers should be paid a stipend by the government (one of her many rambling 20 page essays). Ayn Rand won't be having to depend on book sales - Atlas isn't shrugging her, apparently.

And it's okay if people lie, cheat and steal as long as you are happy with the outcome?

Yes, I used to be a Randroid but I grew out of it.

That's pretty pathetic too. At least some Americans actually have integrity.

If you really truly believe this is more than a BS political ploy from the Republicans then I don't know what else to say.
