choosing a ring

ok so here are two pics of rings, the raised one is a competition ring the lower one is a training ring. the training ring has slightly thinner ropes and doesnt come with steps and stools, the price difference though is 1.2k or about $2400 for the same size ring.

However, this being a one off purchase id like to get some relevant market research as to how much of a difference would it make to you.

I dont care if boxing is not your game, just imagine it were and tell me what you think please.

What are the weight capacities?

i dont know but likely they will only have 2 people in at a time, its for teaching my private students in. in the process of making a proper gym to teach from, but sticking to private students. its the right market for the location im in and im nearly 100% certain of this now.

Will it hold two people the size of couture and lesnar? 485lbs plus a referree.

i should hope so, im 230 myself.
Ill ask though the maker though, its fair point.
So which would training in a proper competition ring make a lot of difference to you in comparison to the training ring?

Things i worry about with the training ring are the different atmosphere you get with a training ring being raised, which is noticable and also the ring thickness, if you are on the ropes it feels quite different to bounce off the thicker competition ropes. what do you think?

To be honest with you, I'd go with the one that cost the less. On the other hand, can you write the cost off on your taxes as a business expense? From a fighters perspective I agree with you but money is so tight, I'd have to look at the economic perspective too!

I'd go for the elevated job! Higher risk of injury when folks get thrown through the ropes. I like hard landings...

lol i really feel myself drawn to the competition ring but its like $8000
still. i can actually afford it and its a long term investment and i guess i could sell it.
Im scared of buying the training one then finding the ropes are a bit soft and the ring lacks that imposing, real boxing ring feel of a raised ring with the steps going up to it etc.
damn it why is it so expensive.

i think the cages are a lot more complicated though, thats about the same as over here price wise i think.
