I have many reasons to be thankful but I am most thankful for the friends in my life. Literal or virtual I hope you all find joy and peace and comfort.

no dont be grateful for that, thats to be expected inthe country you live in.
you should EXPECT IT.
be grateful that bush is gone.
Looking at the entire world, not just here in America, and looking at all the people who don't get food every day or who don't a comfy place to lay their heads at night; I'm afraid I don't have the right to expect it. It doesn't take much time or effort for people to lose the things we've come to take for granted, no matter how unlikely it seems.
Furthermore, Bush wasn't nearly as bad as people claim he was. I'm not disagreeing that he had some flaws (For instance the complete lack of communication with the American people), but most of the things he's blamed for were just bad circumstance or could be traced back to earlier presidencies (and you can bet the media got over-zealous with the muckraking, as always). Although, that's not what the thread is about.
