  • What is your "Get psyched" music???

So I dunno about y'all, but I definitely need something to get me going before exercising these days. What kinda music are y'all into??? For me, I really like rap and hip hop. Snoop, Ludacris, 50 Cent and this new band I just came across called Delinquent Habits... it's all good

I like Swing, or maybe even a Foxtrot. Hymns are good, also. Every now and again I give myself a treat, turn up the grampophone and bung in my Chadanooga Choo Choo on 78. Pumps me up no end.

Gotta be DMX, 50 or Ja, and sometimes Jay-z

I usually listen to chill hip hop like Mos Def, Talib Kwali, Blackliscious. I like stuff that has slow definatlive beats so I can use it like a metranome.

Elevator music and Perry Como. All those timeless classics will that will live on in our nightmares forever.

            hype

There's nothing like Wu-Tang to get hyped, especially for any sort of combat training. 36 Chambers for really hardcore training and the more recent stuff like "Uzi (Pinki Ring)" for things like shadow boxing. MOP is also crazy. "Ante Up" for example makes you wanna go out and pick a fight. Afu Ra always has martial arts themed songs but is a little more slowly paced, still good though.

Wish I could hear songs. Since I am not deaf, I write my own poems. When read, I get inspired... that I fought like a poet. It's the thing that motivates me and more

You can find them all at my website below. I'll write more.

Something with a hard, banging beat. Lately it's been Public Enemy, a couple of House of Pain songs, a couple of RATM songs, rap, etc.

Yeah, nothing like having the 'man' hold you down to make you train harder.

Damn skippy brother! No really, I listen to the music, not the words when I'm training. Otherwise, I'd be singing along. Could you see someone jumping rope singing? Shadow boxing and singing? Bench press and singing? Haha!

Public Enemy's Bring the Noise is a good one.

I'm gonna have to go with Perry Como - He's certainly one to get you pumped.

Or how about the music from Rocky. Watch kung-fu films, listen to emotive music then train.

My instructor always plays stuff like prodigy if we're training really hard or sparring and now that actually psyches me up (before I thought playing 'slap my bitch up' was plain weird...)
