      I would think that the way to show your instructor respect would be coming to class on time, paying your dues every month and really putting some thought into the learning process. I think that another good way of showing respect would be by developing yourself into a decent human being someone your instructor would be proud of knowing.
      I think the way to show your opponents respect would be following the rules of the tournament and showing somewhat of a light touch when you know that you have them.
      This is real important when working out with your team members because if you hurt them in practice you will not have anyone to work out with.

          Dear Toady

          Have you ever seen how two dogs on the street greet each other ? They attempt to stick their noses up each others assholes. I have seen this at VERY MANY Judo inspired Shinto worshipping contests. Maybe THATS where the Spirits of Judo reside!
