Can I quote Crusty the clown?
There are three reasons to own a gun: to protect yourself and your family, to hunt dangerous and delicious animals and to keep the King of England out of your face.
LOL
Mike Brewer is a big gun, this is HIS board. Don't mess with him!

And I used the word "invade" in an appropriate, accurate and descriptive context right. America has recently invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and looks set to invade Iran.

Originally posted by Mike BrewerFirst of all, it isn't correct at all. Imperialist implies that we occupy countries in order to claim them as a part of our Empire. Fact is, every country we have fought for throughout the 20th and beginnings of the 21st century were liberated - not subjugated. We didn't colonize Bosnia, Korea, Germany, Japan, or any of the other places we've fought. We didn't lay claim to land in Northern Africa or the Middle East (though you folks did) after World War I and World War II. For a better idea of imperialism, check your own country's history. Look back to World War I and World War II when the Brits and the French sat down together over tea and croissant and drew nearly every border in the Middle East where there is currently a conflict. Ask your own historians in Britain about Imperialism - how it was the root of American dissatisfaction with British rule and led to our own independence, how it was at the root of the current Arab-Israeli situation, how it defined the conflicts between India and Pakistan - need I go on? See, while you guys were drawing straight lines on maps and dividing people from their homes, America bowed out of the rush to grab land and mandates in that part of the world. You don't find too many American colonies - but colonies were (and are?) a British specialty - innit.
You get more from the History channel, than you do from formal education.
It's hard to lay the finger of blame on any one particular nation though.
Prior to the first world war, with the change from coal fired engines to oil, Germany had the foresight to build a railway into the middle east, and that had more to do with how war started than the assassination of Franz Ferdinand.
And since you brought up the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan? Mighty convenient that you forgot all the Brits on the ground in those places. I suppose they weren't invading, though. They must have been along for the ride. You know, filming and whatnot. The guns and mortars and artillery - they were all for show, right? Do we need to take a look back into your regal history and discuss some of the invasions and treks your country has taken?
Mostly, the physical aspect is just people doing what they are told to do.
If we can learn from mistakes, rather than just pointing the finger at someone else, we can all move on to a better place?
This is like your slobbering, mentally retarded argument that the US screwed over Britain during the War. Everyone who's read their second grade history knows that Churchill was the king of all manipulators when it came to pulling the US into the war, and he pulled every string and played every underhanded card he could to make that happen, so don't try to make anyone here believe your bullshit about how we ran you under as a world power.
We flat out saved your asses is what we did. And you're welcome, by the way.
America, like Britain, had interests other than "saving asses".
That kind of 'hollywoodesque', 'John Wayne' saved the world approach to the topic is kind of after the point.
Britain was/is America's trade link to the rest of the world.
So when you look at your post, you used neither term in its appropriate context. Further, you showed that once again, nutter has nothing better to do with his time than try to piss people off. It's tiresome. You're tiresome. And I will continue to both delete such idiotic posts AND point out to our fair readers what an ignoramus and asshole you truly are. I don't mind the occasional post designed to get a rise out of people, but it needs to balance out with some content in other places. You're rapidly becoming the human equivalent of the faeces that crazy people spread around on the walls of their little padded rooms. You stink, you're no fun to look at, and even cleaning up after you is more work than it's worth. Do yourself a favor and get back on your anti-depressants and ritalin like the doctor told you, stop worrying about the fact that your testes haven't dropped yet, and go play in traffic for a while. We'll keep a spot warm for you when you get back, you imperialist, you.

The term "American imperialist" is therefore completely legitimate.
And "invade" is a completely appropriate term also innit. What else should we use, "regime change", "forcibly relocating"? No two ways about it, America has invaded both Iraq and Afghanistan right.

Propoganda for the media.
No offence, but that doesn't do justice to anyone at all.
