look at this video from an abc interview with a couple of former iraqi insurgents who are now serving time behind bars in jordan for terrorism. some of the stuff one of the insurgents says is pretty damn shocking. he mentions that he saw many other insurgents who were from countries outside iraq and some of these insurgents were actually AMERICANS who were in iraq to fight americans. wtf.

u know what else was shocking? one of the insurgents mentions that his rational for going to iraq was that " If we dont stop the Americans in iraq, the US would come to their own countries next". does that sound similar to something we hear about our justification for going to war?" if we dont stop them in iraq, we will be fighting them here in our streets".

Most people are apathetic and already have. Here's what I've come to believe, and this is my new philosophy towards any of this bothersome shit... if I personally can't take any actions to remedy a situation, and there is nothing I can do...what is the purpose of worrying over it? To worry about such things would be irrational.

I lack a platform to try and change things, I lack any physical (as if there are any) means to change anything... I vote. That's all I CAN do. Sitting around and complaining about the obvious is a waste of time because 1) the media doesn't cover it and 2) it doesn't alter reality.

When it all boils down...Bush is just another fucked up politician. He isn't the only one, and it's not a conservative v. liberal thing...they are all the same. And even in their absence...life is what it is.

There are some absolute and universal truths about life that never change... we are all destined to die, and throughout our lives be beset by lonliness, alienation, and physical suffering. Life is a confusing and purposeless endeavor, and we struggle everyday with an abstract concept that we claim is our so-called FREEDOM. It doesn't exist, friend. I'm sorry to say, even if will, freedom, and free-agency did exist...it doesn't change the fact of the matter, which is...life is short, has no meaning, what so ever, and that any joy (or even pain for that matter) comes in fleeting waves. Everything is transcient, and nothing you, or I, or anyone for that matter accomplishes (good or bad) is important, because in the grand scheme of things...everyone that succeeds us will die. By procreating we are prolonging the inevitable end of life, and by lying to ourselves with ideas of our struggle towards autonomy and accomplishment or even so-called SELF ACTUALIZATION, we are denying the natural architecture of our existence.

There is no JUSTICE, there is no PEACE, there is no LOVE, there is no UNDERSTANDING, and there is no knowledge even...we are in a prediciment where we may be sentient and aware of ourselves and our enviornment...so what. We are a few steps up from being inatimate objects, and eventually we will be, until finally everything ceases to exist.

We try to understand our situation, or we ignore asking questions and keep our hands and minds busy by undertaking other tasks, or interpersonal bullshit...but in the end...you know what there is? NOTHING. Nothing matters, and it would be just as well as if nothing had ever existed. Can you remember anything before you were born? Imagine that. Nada. Nihil...that's all there is, void. And we will all succumb to it one day.

So props to Bush...he has the right idea. If everything has no purpose...might as well crush everyone under your feet in order to accomplish the type of decadent style of life you want and patiently wait for the end.

My quality of life would be better without liars...but the crusadism of almost any cause is beyond my scope of desire these days. All I can focus on is my closest and most intimate personal relationships and foster those, and if there is any crusadism to take place...it will be me trying to protect those relationships, those people, and whatever vain and prideful...and pointless precepts I still cling to...and whatever undelying desires would be fulfilled through the act of hurting somebody who hurt somebody I love. I don't know if that is a tint of sadism, or my own conceited attempt at attaining justice I know does not exist in this world.

I know I'm not a sociopath, because I feel emotional pain all too acutely...but there are a handful of people on this planet I would love to hurt very badly. For instance, many of the women in my life have been raped or assaulted, and I would take great pleasure in inflicting tremendous suffering upon those that hurt them. And if I could get away with it...I would...but I can't, so I put it out of my mind.
Sometimes I think of this as cowardly. I should, by any measure of the meaningless precepts and abstract concepts I try to define as my good qualities (honesty, dignity, integrity, loyalty) not worry about the repercussions of any actions I take...why do I?

Oh well...I promise I won't hurt anyone unless I catch them in the act. If I fell upon a situation wherein I saw somebody being raped...I wouldn't try and "control" the rapist...I would kill them. And I wouldn't be the least bit remorseful...in fact, I might even be quite jubilent.

I have to disagree with the lack of purpose though. Hell even a blade of grass has a purpose. Even Brewer Boar and Bunny boy (hi jubs) have a purpose. Even if it is to piss each other off. You may never find your purpose or even be capable of that knowledge.

Everything is chemical and electrical. All our sensations and cognitions...everything. We sense something, then we cognitively ascribe to it whatever we are conditioned or inclined to. For instance, love. Love is just the cognitive ascription we make to a series of chemical-electrical firings in our brain.

Imagine popping on your headphones...through a sequence of events it is translated into what you hear...and even further...how it makes you feel based upon whatever other associated things are linked to it.

Essentially feelings are just charged ions and shit that kick off events and are cognitively linked and associated in our heads with past empirical experience and a priori inclinations. It's cyclical too.

It's what we THINK about things.
