I prefer a minimum of 154cm. Not to fond of Titanium since it's a bitch to sharpen but I have a couple.

I almost ordered a pair of titanium chopsticks once....

Well I guess since most of my knives are for self defense and not chopping wood or opening cans I like Titanium, because its light.

Where you get that Ti is weak is new to me since my understanding from knife makers who have been in the market for decades is that it is strong, holds an edge very very well, doesn't rust too easily and is just a bitch to grind because of its tensile strength.

Yes, the savson sword and knife place hooked me up with a big and BIGGER bowie knife.

I'm not impressed... but they are sharp, for now.

We'll see how they hold up to the abuse I'm sure to inflict.

              ... 1085 carbon steel, RH 55-57, epoxy powder coated 9" blade 14.25" OA X .236" (6mm) thick.

This one is favored for now over it's smaller brother with the 7.25 inch blade. They are both hefty with large composite handles.

I'd like to cut some teeth into the back of it...

Just had to go play... found a nice dry Eucalyptus branch.... Well, you get the picture.

It'll do for now I suppose....

Looks like you hacked at that branch for a while.

Yup... that stuff is hard when it's had a season to dry out. It's even hard on chain saws.

The point was to beat on it... I'm sure an axe could do it faster.

Your Dad is a real gentleman Mr. B. He really wants to go above and beyond for me. I don't know what else you told him but I could hear a change in his voice when I mentioned playing with my kerambits...

I'm not sure if it was good or bad but he seemed a bit excited to send me some pictures of his work.

Too cool Mike! I'm still in awe...

                        Thanks kindly!

The real knife arrived today... My picture doesn't do it justice. The thing is a work of art that looks ready to WORK.

Presentation box included with a hand written letter of authenticity.

Simply awesome. Never held a knife made specifically for my hand before today!

                          first pic...

The handle wood is English walnut, the spacers are African pink ivory. The blade itself is 8 layers of high carbon steel cable damascus...

                            Beauty!

I failed to mention the balance... Perfect. The more I play with it the more I like it.

And the faster and smoother I can transition from grip to grip, hand to hand and hit with either the point or pommel.

In the words of the man that made it for me..."The buttcap is designed to work as a bone hammer - It's NOT gonna BRAEK."

The taper to the handle makes for an exceptionally sure handset and strong grip.

I can flip it with my eyes closed! LOL
