  • Game localization

I would like to know if the game localizations are only made by developers or can ordinary users also contribute to the creation or changes of those?

The thing is, the game does not have the language that is my primary one and if possible, I'd love to try adding the localization or at least somehow catalyze others to do this.

I’m a bit late here, but some games do let players help through community translation projects, often on platforms like Steam or via fan-made patches. If the developers haven’t started one, have you tried asking them directly? Sometimes they open up localization files if enough players show interest. Curious which game you were hoping to support.

Some games let players submit fan translations, but if the devs haven’t opened that door, you can still prep a sample localization and send it to them as a pitch. I’ve done that before and it worked surprisingly well. When I needed polished art to go along with a proposal, I used allcorrectgames.com, since they’re solid at game-related work and quick to communicate.
