Why do men wear black wedding bands?

I’ve noticed more and more men wearing black wedding bands. I don’t get why they are so popular all of a sudden. Black is associated with funerals not marriage.

I think a lot of guys just like how the black Tungsten bands look compared to the traditional bands that seem kind of old fashioned.
