  • Haven't been the dentist in 8 years... teeth hurt

I stopped going the dentist when I was 24 as I felt like I was paying a load of money for nothing, each time I went they'd tell me my teeth were fine and then I'd have to hand over like ?15-?20.

8 years later all my teeth are suddenly hurting  not severely but it's now been a couple weeks of mild-ish pains most days... think they might have gone really sensitive

Should I brace myself for a massive dentistry bill and a lot of pain?

I left it 10 years once and ended up needing a deep clean and two fillings. Wasn't as bad as I feared, but the wait definitely made it worse.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in years either and ended up needing way more work than expected. If you're near there, I got a good deep cleaning and teeth whitening in Eastlake Ohio recently—made a big difference. Thought I’d be judged, but they were chill and just focused on fixing everything.
