Packing and moving tips and tricks

Hey all.

We are set to move in 8 weeks! Very exciting but I’m stressed already just thinking about it! We haven’t moved in ages and now we have 5 kids to move too.


how do you do it? Where/what room do you start packing? How do you know what you’ll need in the next few weeks or do you just make do? Do you leave kitchen and clothes till last? so.many.questions.

Please give me all your tips and tricks!

Label everything. Number each box and Have a master list of what’s in each box. Start with books, DVDs, bedding, fancy clothes that you won’t need in the next few weeks.

I labeled every box with the room it belongs in and a number, then kept a list on my phone of what was in each numbered box. Made unpacking way easier. I also got a moving quote from discountmoving.ca and they were super quick and helpful, plus cheaper than others I checked. Their crew was careful and didn’t rush, which made a big difference.
