Miami airport car rental

I'm visiting the area in July with my wife. Staying at South Beach for 5 days. On the last day I want to rent a car from MIA, so I can return it there. Driving down to Key West for 5 days. Can anyone recommend a company, I've read reviews from the forums, but not many get mentioned. Vipcars, miamilife,United, etc. These are the cheaper ones. I looked at Avis and it is $300 more

I am not famiiar with any of the companies you mentioned, but there seems to be a lot of off brand car rental companies in Miami and there are horror stories about many of them.

If you're only renting for the Key West leg, consider skipping the rental in Miami altogether—South Beach is very walkable and rideshares are easy. We used a chauffeur service miami for airport transfers and local rides—super convenient and saved us from parking hassles. Then you could rent from MIA just for the Key West trip. Hope that helps!
