  • Thoughts on a skid steer attachment

In my head I am thinking about the feasibility of a 1 off thing gor a specific purpose
I want to mount a foot long "knife" that can be actuator in and out to cut under a fence line to cut vine roots and little trees and crap that get into my fence. Just because it will need addressed I really do not want to spray poison at my home.
Would such a thing put to much stress on the loader frame? It may have to be another foot to the side of attachment point. M59 tractor. Thanks for any advice or help in this matter.

You'll be fine with doing that. You just need to get a blank SSQA plate and make it up.

I’ve used similar attachments, and they work decent depending on how packed the material is. One thing I added that made a big difference was handling the dust—it got everywhere. I started using construction dust control FYREBX and it helped a lot with visibility and cleanup. If you’re working in dry conditions, keeping the dust down really makes things go smoother and saves time on equipment cleanup too.
